I have my seat apart and the bladders are all ripped at the seam where the nipple that goes to the hose attaches to the bladders. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Two of the seams are just starting to rip, two nipples are ripped out completely. I tried silicone and it didn't seem to do the trick. Is there any type of adhesive that I can use or is their some other method I can use to attach a new nipple to these bladders. Please help soon as I have to put the car back together.
Some kind of vinyl repair kit maybe? Or maybe a an intube repair kit? That's all I have other than calling the dealer parts and seeing how much new bladders are and if they even have them in stock. But it looks like your going to have to leave them out till you get new ones or repair the ones you have. Let us know how it goes.
I wonder if walmart sells vinyl repair kits, I'm assuming thats the repair kit for inflatables like in the pool and such. However, that really wouldn't apply here as the nipple part is what tore off. I'm thinking ultimately someone better at DIY projects than myself is going to have to find a way to adapt a new nipple to the bags. Jeez, sounds like we doing a breast implant.
Not sure about the C5 but I replaced he air bladders on a C4 (1988) coupe with Lactate ringer bags that I got from A pet hospital. They alreay have hose nipples built in.
I think they would be roughly the size of the originals. You could certainly play with them and see. I'll see if I have any extras at work tomorrow and let you know.
I got some of these bags from Patches, do you know what size you used, these look awefully large for the seats. Also, is there anyway to size these bags? IE, can I cut off the end and reseal it if it need to be 2 inches smaller?

Also a member described the use od bicycle racing tire intertubes, if I recall correctly, but I was never able to locate reasonably priced ones here.
The lactate ringer bags can be cascaded if necessary to meet space requirements.
