[QUOTE=jsdanehy][QUOTE=Rattler71]Out of curiosity only, why would it be a rip off?
CREDIBILITY without being insulting (and if I do you will know there was no intention to do so) when I get into the situation you articulated above I do walk away. It involves credibility. To pass something off that is probably untrue might be good advertising but my experience (I am a 66 yr old business man) that I am dealing with someone who will take advantage of people who may not be informed. It is human nature to expect that others will treat us the way we treat others. If you are a nice, good, honest, forthright, ethical etc etc you would never expect that someone will treat you in a manner that is 180 degrees (completely opposite) of the way you treat people. That is human nature and it is also called being naive . I apologize for preaching but it is a real pet peave of mine to see nice people screwed by unethical business people. It makes it more difficult for the honest and ethical business person to do their business as they want to (honest and ethical). Now we have a ton of Federal legislation (Sarbanes-Oxley) to tighten down on corporations that are publicly traded because of the Enron and other scandals EG., Martha Stewart . . .
Run from those folks and find someone who has a good rep
But my question remains, what is unethical about what they are doing?
They are asking a price and I said I didn't want to pay that and they replied they would remove the wheels and tires and replace with normal wheels/tires. What is unethical about that. And the car has obviously been lowered, so what is wrong with their ethics? Not trying to contradict you, just curious about your thought process on this one. Maybe I am missing something, wouldn't be the first time. Just ask Capn 17, he sends me threatning e-mails almost weekly. LOL

calling it a factory lowered car . . . I am not hear to lecture about ethics . . . if you do not comprehend the difference between mis-statement of fact and ethics then you will not comprehend the ethical issues. Here we have a sales person at a dealership who states that this is a factory modification. It is factual that the factory at Bowling Green does not do that . . . plain falsehood . . . outright lie . . . probably also a breach of the warranty of merchantability under Florida law too. . . . Probably a code of business standards that might also be breach under the Uniform Commercial Code under Florida statutory law . . . I will get off the soap box . . .South Florida I lived in Broward too or as us snowbirds call it New York City south
I also stated later it was lowered by the dealer and not the factory. And since you decided to get personal F*** Off. And BTW just bought the car today.

I have found out this car was lowered by the dealer, not the factory. The salesman did some research and he learned something also. He had never seen a lowered new one so just assumed it was factory lowered. I think it was an honest mistake on his part, he admitted to it. If everyone quit going to a dealer because a salesman made a mistake there would be no dealers(maybe not all bad). And BTW I did wind up buying the car.
