Default Z06 specs?

I keep hearing alot about how fast the Z06 is compared to a coupe. I have searched Road and Trac etc. I would like a link to info on the 2004 z16. ( 0 to 60, 1/4 mile etc.)
Thanks for your help!

Anything at all. What about the specs? I am thinking about trading for a z16.
Thanks!

This should help ...

There isnt really any difference between a regular Z06 and the Z16 performance-wise, except the Carbon Fiber hood on the Z16 which saves about 10 lbs more.

If you're talking C5s, here's an idea of how a non-Z06 compares to a Z06. The Z16's stripes don't make it any faster than a regular Z06 and I doubt that the 10lbs lighter hood has any measurable affect either.
C&D's most recent non-Z06 test was a convertible, but the weight difference is negligable so the coupe numbers should be similar.

Z06 numbers are for a 2002 Z06, Car & Driver, December 2001
Non-Z06 numbers are for a 2001 convertible, Car & Driver, August 2001

0-60:
Z06: 4.0
Non-Z06: 4.5

0-100:
Z06: 9.2
Non-Z06: 10.6

1/4 mile:
Z06: 12.4@116
Non-Z06: 13.11@111

5-60 (street start):
Z06: 4.7
Non-Z06: 5.2

70-0 braking:
Z06: 160ft
Non-Z06: 162ft

300ft skidpad:
Z06: .96g
Coupe: .92g

These are not insignificant differences. The Z06 is much faster than a regular C5. C&D also did a comparison of the various suspension options available on the C5. They were amazed at how much more nimble the Z06 was.

The tradeoff for the extra performance is less interior space, more noise, and no run-flats. Pick your poison.

First there is no performance difference between a Z06 and a Z16. Many have suspected that GM has quietly enhanced the performance of the Z over the past two model years w/o actually saying so.

Here the most recent published test on a 04 Z06 - http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...es/0410htp_zo/

0-60 3.91
1/4 mile 11.97 @ 118.80

Nuf said. In the hands of a skilled driver the Z06, to quote the article is "stupid fast".

The Z06 still has more interior space than my C4 coupe did. That center cubby hole helps nicely.

And it's just as noisy as my C4 coupe was (road noise).

Compared to a regular C5, the Z06 feels noticeably lighter on its feet, with an instantaneous surge of acceleration when you plant your right foot.

C5 coupe will still pull nicely up to redline, but the Z06 unleashes hell above 4000 rpm.

Go to your dealer and test drive one. Once you test drive a Z, your coupe will feel slow. You can look at all the numbers you want, but the sotp feeling in the Z is incredible!!!!!!
