Just pull it towards you and up when you lift the lid. It will open all the way. Its like the hinge slide is made to expand that way.

Please go back to the original post..... Warm up your sense of humor (if available). You will find that many of our fellow members have a sense of humor that range from bizarre to dry. Some say mine is "warped", but I totally disagree, it is .... by the way, while driving my vette, should I wear underwear that matches the exterior, or interior, or should I just not wear any???

Actually I think the color is less important than making sure to have an extra pair with you!

I used to have trouble opening lids back in the 60s, but now I'm a scotch drinker.

Just pull up a little harder. It will open up fully, but it takes some effort.
