Default Getting RPO codes and options from vin#??

Does anyone know of a website that you can enter in your vin# and it will let you know what options the car came with?

I know if you work for GM, there is a website you can do it at... it'll print out a sheet with all rpo/option codes.

Does one exist for those of us non GM employee people?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

The rpo codes are on your glove compartment or in one of the rear storage covers depending on the year of your vette.

Also try sending a PM to Sponge Vette

or try posting in this thread

born on date

and you should get an answer

Zilla,

Thanks for the help but I do not have the car here otherwise I would have just read the identification sheet. I only have the vin#.

Tis okay, tomorrow I fly out to pick it up, I'll check it all out then... I was just curious what gears were in it. I'm sure they're just the 2:73's

Thanks anyways..

Is the car an auto or 6 speed, if it is a 6 speed then you have 3.42 gear and for an auto it is 2.73 or 3.15

Karguy,

Thank you very much for the offer. A friend of mine just did the same thing. I noticed he had the driveline support (support bearing carrier??) replaced like 3 times and the transmission rebuilt at 43000 miles. The car has 53K now.

I was looking to see what options the car came with and I found out.

Thanks again,

Mark

You can also take your VIN number to a dealer and they can pull it up on their computer system.
