Default Just Installed

I just installed my V-1 and I have a quick question for those that have been using it for a while. Do the provided suction cups hold up well ? or should I be looking for a better mount ? I live here in Florida where it's obviously hot and and I don't want it falling and hitting the dash if I can avoid it. Thanks for any help in advance.

I've had mine for three years and that's all I've used, the suction cups and it's good enough! did you connect your valentine on a the mirror power or in the cigarette lighter?

And I also keep it in the winshield all the time. I never move it!

The cups that came with my Cobra have withstood 5 years in the sun with the radar detector always on it with no problems. I just moved this radar detector to my wife's car and still no problems. You won't have any problems for a long while. I had one radar detector (Whistler) that the cups held up for over 8 years, through 2 cars and still worked when I replaced the unit with the Cobra. All the time, here in Florida (Orlando area and South Florida).

Just don't forget to remove it if you replace the windshield...

I hard wired it at the mirror plug, per Longhorn Z06 instructions. It took a little while cause the wires are so tiny, and were tough to solder. It works and I only have about a 5 inch pig tail plug. Nice install though Now all I hope for is that it detects ok. Thanks everyone for the imput, it looks like I'll go with the suction cups.
