Need some help from the Forum. Went to get in my 03 Coupe this morning and the DIC tells me the right rear is flat. I've found a screw in the middle of the tread and am sure thats the culprit. I have the original Goodyear EMT's on the car with only has 6,000 miles on it. Can the tire be fixed and how much it costs to patch a EMT?

I believe if you are within the first year of ownership and less than 12000 miles, the Goodyear store will repair a flat at no charge. Check your warranty book that covers the tires. I had this happen to mine and they repaired it free. Otherwise, yes, the EMTs can be repaired. They should use a plug and patch method.
In his article, Hib talks about the Goodyear and Michelin run-flats being capable of repair and why Firestone and the others can't or shouldn't be repaired.
I had something similar and had it fixed. Also, I carry a cigarette lighter pump in all the vettes and I pumped air into it. Sitting still, I would lose air at a rate of about 10 lbs an hour. While driving, it would lose about 5lbs in 3-4 hours. So I was able to air it up and get it to the shop before it went flat again (300 mile road trip).

I saw a thread a week or so ago, where a member plugged his own and said it lasted 10,000 miles. I'll try to find it. Good Luck.
