There is a little known secret to using high temp paint. If you just spray it on and let it cure normally, it will usually crack and peal and wear off pretty quickly. What you have to do is to get it up to temperature pretty quickly and “set” the cure. If you read the fine print on some of the cans you will find this. I use an industrial heat gun after painting the centers of my rear rotors to match the front Eradi’s and the mufflers/exhaust. You can also carefully use a propane torch, but make sure the paint has gassed off (dry to the touch and DO NOT DO IT ON THE CAR.)
You will find that some of the black hi-temps will actually have a sooty like appearance and will rub off slightly if you don’t get them right up to temp quickly.
