Here we go again... this time in Fla.
Well, after my horrendous effort in purchasing the '01 convertible in TX without consulting my fellow corvette members on this forum... I am alas trying this again. This time it's in Fla.
HOWEVER, first, I'm driving down to see my father who just came out of the hospital anyway.... so at least this time, I'm checking out the car while I'm there anyway.
The second thing is, the car came with a referall from a good friend who happens to be, a) a member of this forum and b) a friend of the person who is selling this car.
The car is a bit more than retail and though everyone loves a deal, a mint car is worth paying for in my opinion. It's a '98 with 40K convertible. It's not what I had in mind originally but because it's inexpensive, I can use my home equity to buy it and deduct the interest.
It has all the toys from the gears to the suspension, the only thing it's lacking is the HUD's. Though I would like it, it's not a deal breaker.
The owner says it's flawless (ABSOLUTE FLAWLESS) and last weekend just put Michelin runflats on it. He wants 25000 for the car and looks like it may be a great cream puff.
I'll check it out Friday or Saturday and hopefully will be driving back 2 vehicles this weekend.

You can always make an offer. I'd see what they('98 vert) are selling for in Florida and go from there. Corvettes are plenty down here. Seems every dealer lot has 8 to 10 cars and they aren't necessarily GM dealers either...just my .02.
