Default What should I do?

I brought my car in for some reapirs under warranty, and here's what they said. Keep in mind, I purchased a '01 coupe in January '04 with a "full coverage" extended warranty with "no deductible", or so I thought.

>Seat Rock..."warranty company said seat tracks are not covered."
>Won't start sometimes...."well it started when we pulled it into the shop, so we can't do anything for you until we actually witness the problem"
>Oil consumption..."1.5 qts. burned per 2000 miles is normal"
>Dim A/C unit display...$100 deductible and its covered.

WTF...I told the service technician that I want it back and he said I have to pay $40 for checking things out. I said Nope. Finally, agreed to let me have my car back with the exact same problems I brought it in for...what a nice guy. Then he asked me to make sure to leave an "excellent" rating on the card I get in the mail about my experience.
Not to mention, I was told when I purchased the car and warranty that EVERYTHING would be covered at a zero deductible if I bring it back to the purchasing dealer. What should I do?

Aftermarket warrantees can be full of exclusions and loop-holes. You may want to read it closely before heading to a shop rather than relying on someone saying it is "full coverage".

Sorry to hear about your problems. What your told and what your warrenty covers may not be the same. I would suggest you read your warranty carefully to determine where you can argue your case. I had an extended warranty on a 91 Honda with a remote key. The key cost $150 because it contained the remote! Mine went bad and they said keys wern't covered. But I pointed out that Remote Entry systems were and it was indeed part of that system. They gave in and paid for the key. Good luck!!

Well, I guess you live and learn...and don't buy the next vette from the same dealership.

I don't know where you are but in Maryland, I had the same problem at Criswell Chevrolet with a key fob. I have the GMPP warranty with "0" deductable and they said it wasn't covered and wanted to charge me $250.00 for a new one. I told the idiot service advisor to forget it and went to Rockmont where they replaced it under warranty NO PROBLEM. I guess that means you just may need to look around until yopu find a dealer with a brain. Good Luck!!
