I just purchased this electric impact wrench after my son proved to me the thing actually worked. He purchased this tool to work on his M3. He had to remove the struts and shocks. I just laughed when he told me this 12v powered import tool would be removing his wheel studs and front end parts! So i went up to his house to watch the project.. Sure enough.. this tool did the job with ease. It easily removes the lug nuts from a C5 torqued at 100 Ft lbs. Its portable and can be used at the track.. comes with various sized sockets, cig lighter adapter and connectors for direct use on the battery.
It's on sale for $19.95 !!!
I usually don't buy cheap import tools... but this thing really works! It spins up fast and then engages a clutch which causes the impact. The best way not to break a stud...
I am not affiliated with Harbor freight or Chicago tools... Just passing along some info on a handy tool at a great price.
I have had one for a couple of years now and yes it works great. You can not set the tightening torque but you should not use any impact tool for setting torque . Only a torque wrench should be used for that.

Works great at auto crosses too! Every one looks at me and my buddy like we're idots when we hook it up to the jumper battery, then "wrrrrrr" and tires are off. Who's the idiot now!
