I looked under the option menu on the dic and I have no option for auto lock.I put a new battery in the car last week and it reset something because it wasn't doing it before. I looked through the manual and there are a lot of options I don't have due to me having a "poor mans" corvette I guess(99 frc)
I will have to contact the dealer and find out if there is something they can do through the cars computer or something.
Lemansbleu2004 replied: That's wierd, I thought it was only supposed to lock when the speed exceeds 12 mph.
YO-EL replied: The auto lock function is when you shift from park to drive or reverse...the doors lock & when you turn off the key & remove it, they unlock.
My 2002 vert works like YO-EL stated. Could different model years work differently?
I was referring to the 6 speed. YO-EL was referring to an auto. It sounds like a transmission difference.
Is this caused from the F.O.B. being in passive mode? I was temporarialy locked out of my car at the car wash when I left the key and F.O.B. in the ignition. After less than a minute it unlocked itself. It made me turn off the passive switch on the F.O.B.
I have auto lock set to on. It does not lock until I hit about 10 mph. When I shut the ignition off and remove the key the door remains locked until I manually unlock. '00 - MN6 - FRC
In the DIC if the auto lock is active then the next option it brings up is auto un-lock you have to set this to on for the doors to unlock when the key is removed.
You are not crazy. I have an '02 coupe that I never lock in my garage. Several times I have come out and found it locked "on its own" after I parked it the day before.
