Default Breathless Performance shifter

Just installed the Breathless Performance speed shifter on my '02 Z-06.
Very nice product! High quality materials and accessories. The shift lever position is adjustable to 8 different positions and you can choose from 3 spring tensions. Shifts are short and precise but you can't rush 4-5. It took me about 1.5 hours. Directions are adequate but require some interpretation. All I need now is an answer to my wife's question, "What was wrong with the old one?"

I have found the only shifts that are easy are the 2-3 and 3-4 and 4-3. The 4-5 is very difficult to do and limits how I drive on some of the road courses I run on. I talked to BPP at Carlisle and they looked at the shifter and gave me a couple of parts to try but it is basically a drag racing shifter and is only useful on road courses where 3rd and 4th gears are all that is needed.
