I just noticed a Lingenfelter ad at the top of the forum page that had two lines of text:
"available now: 550hp 427 cid"
"LS1 $19,995.00"
(or something like that)
Maybe I misunderstood the ad, but how can a 427 be an LS1? Or are they two separate products from Lingenfelter?

To get a LS1 to be a 427 you need to bore the cylinder making them oversized then you need to increase the pistons total travel(stroke length) by change the crankshaft.

Pretty close, but I think that 427 has a resleeved block to get the bigger bore. Before the resleeved blocks were available, you had to use a C5R block, which the LPE twin turbo still uses.

Correct on the resleeved!
I have one (Darton sleeved) from 21st Century (LPE). It is great.
My S/O went with 21st Century LPE's heads, cam, underpully, Kooks headers, LUK clutch and alum flywheel, BORLA's, etc. package.
NOTE the price: $5950!!!! For 434 RWHP, and that's with 4:10's and a dyno day of 103 degrees, that is a STEAL!
