Default CLB needed on MN6?

I have seen a lot of CLBs done on A4s, but not many on MN6s....I just bought a 00 MN6 and it doesn't have the CLB. Would it be a good idea to do it ASAP???

Yes, you certainly need a CLB on an MN6. They are relatively inexpensive and easy to install. Better than getting stranded somewhere.

This is the install that I used. Bought mine from Corvettes of Houston. Quick delivery. Install was straighforward except for the one Murphys Law element in which a screw clip fell off the back of the knee panel, and I had to determine where it came from.

Installed mine last week. Surprisingly it only took me 20 minutes! The instructions on LS1howto are great.

How many knee clips are there? I would be scared about breaking the knee panel when I take it apart....is there a trick to taking that off? Or will it just pop off?

It's easy to get the panel off. I didn't even take it all the way off. I just dipped the left side down and right back on it went. 10 minutes to put it in. Works great.

WHat if the buyer before me did it and I try to install it again....will this be a problem? I can't get a hold of the guy I bought this car from....Or will it be ok to do it again if he did it a long time ago?

you can tell if it's already been done. With the car off see if the column will lock. If it locks then it's not done.
