Thats the plug Im talking about. I found the ground and memory wire, cant find the switched 12V for some reason. Just like GM to put multiple wires on the same plug with the same color. I was in a groove installing this AVN2454 unit and now im halted. I tested it with a voltmeter and still cant find the wire.
Picture of the AVN2454 test fitted and ready to go!
There isn't one....you have to tap it from either near the fusebox under the carpet on the passenger side or fish around under the steering wheel. I had to do the same thing. Search the forums for 'avic-n1' and you will find a small how-to on which wire it is near the fuse box
Heres my question then, I tested the Bose headunit with just that plug in there (left out the other two small ones) and the time turned on with key, and then turned on the unit and it turned off automatically when I took the key out, so thats why I assume there has to be a 12V switched wire on that plug. Otherwise my question is how is the Bose headunit turning off when the key is pulled?
I guess the first person was right, Im going to have to run a 12V switched wire. Guess they use the Radio Turn on signal wire to somehow tell the unit to turn on.
