A/C on all the time (live in South Florida) and heavy at times on the throttle and am averaging 19 mpg on my daily commute to work. I drive 25 miles each way, 19 miles on the highway and 6 miles in stop and go traffic. If it weren't for those 6 miles, I would be averaging over 25 mpg!! Heck of a lot better than my 93 C4 and with a heck of a lot more go power!!!!
any body think mileage would go down because of hollowed cats with o2 simulators?. i have done this to mine mileage is still about 25-28mpg cruising at 75-75 mph i was just wondering i it could affect it.
With a decent amount of stop and go, I will see about 15 - 16mpg. My normal mixture of city/highway (about 40/60) gets me between 20 and 22mpg depending on how I drive.
Hope that helps
That about right for mr as well, but I'm usually driving mine for fun. This leads to lower MPG
Around town I'm averaging just a tick under 20 mpg, but on the highway I always get about 29-32 (averaged 32 on my 5100 mile odyssey this summer!). I definitely get less mileage than in my coupe, but overall I get soooo much more from the car, so it's a tradeoff I'm comfortable with
I dont know how you could get 29-32?
I had 25mpg driving from Newark to Houston averaging 62 mph....never over 80mph, except for once where i was nabbed for 94 in 70 (TN)..
Around town here in Houston it is 15.9mpg..(Ave temp 90F)!!
I guess the hot weather has alot to do with it? In Newark it was more around 20mpg.(Ave temp 50F)

I live in the Houston area too; commuting from Ft. Bend on the 59 parking lot everyday. I've never gotten less than about 20mpg over the 3+ years, 24k+ miles. I drive it hard whenever the opportunity is available and can get get into the mid 20'smpg if I try to.
This past week has been the hottest of the year, 98+ and I just checked my current mileage almost on empty: 23.6mpg.
I am happy with the milage. With 450 hp and alot of air being sucked in, it is hard not to give it to her too much....20mpg is ok on 59 and 1960 with all the dam traffic lights/stop start!!!!
On the highway I get 33.5 MPG! Mixed city and highway, I've been averaging 27 MPG. This is with mods that are producing almost 450hp at the crank.
Before the mods, when stock, it would do 28 MPG on the highway, and about 22 MPG mixed city/highway. So my mods bumped me up over 40 hp, while at the same time improving the fuel economy by 5 MPG. Gotta love it! All I did was focus on improving the air flow into and out of the engine to make it more efficient.
I can't think of any car that can come even close to producing 450hp and get 33.5 mpg on the highway. It's really amazing, especially considering the relatively large 5.7L displacement.
Now my "economy" car is the same as my sports car! When I want to save on gas bills, I take the Vette to work LOL.

Here in Houston I get about 18 mpg. Most of mine is short haul and some freeway. I do like to shift the gears and keep the rpms ups to enjoy that motor avoid the dreaded 1 to 4 shift. I haven't installed the bypass yet.
