Default Torque Converter

Has anyone installed a torque converter! What are the pro and cons on this mod! Please explain in laymans term, I am not as technically inclined as most of you!

If you are talking about a "do it yourself" install of a torque converter, you won't find a whole lot of people who have done that. But many here have had them installed.

The short answer is that a torque converter's job is to transfer available torque to the rear wheels.

Most aftermarket torque converters have a higher "stall speed" than stock.

Among the trade offs are sometimes higher transmission fluid temperatures, which over time, and if high enough, can lead to premature automatic transmission failure. Some use an auxillary transmission cooler to address this problem.
