Default Seat memory getting crazy

I recently had my C5 in for the rocking seat fix. Shortly after that my drivers seat has been kind of weird. At first it would randomly not go back to the proper position....not all the way forward when putting the key in....sometimes it would go forward properly but then it would tilt the seat down. Sometimes it worked perfectly.

Today when I removed the key it only went back a few inches instead of all the way. I tried this a couple of times... with the same result.

Any ideas?

Obviously I can take to back to the dealer....but it just went out of warranty and we all know how much fun it is going to the dealer.

Try reprogramming the seat per the owners manual. If that does not work, then take it back in. Good luck.

I have the same stupid problem in my Z71 Tahoe. The thing has a mind of it's own. sometimes it goes to where I set it, some times it doesn't. It seems like after a few weeks, it just randomly picks a new spot to stop. Drives me nuts, but hard to show to the dealer.

This seems to be a common problem. It's just kind of frustrating that a car like this has these little annoying type problems.

My 2000 vert has a mind of it's own also. I think it may be because is't not a daily driver, and the drop in voltage when it sets for a week or more causes it to lose it's memory. Or else its got alzheimers! I just turned the thing off because it drove me crazy.

I turned mine off (using the DIC) as I didn't want the wear & tear on the seat mechanism everytime I get in and out. Well several times I've returned to find either my legs got shorter, or the seat moved back a few inches while I was at work.
