My right turn signal is 'fluttering' when I first turn it on. Because it soon settles down to a normal sequence, I am unable to figure out what is happening or why. Any similar experiences?

Intermittent contact possibly and maybe due to corrosion in the socket or a bulb with a filament that's broken and occasionally opening up. Probably a front one. HTH

Sounds to me like you've got one (or more) lights out on the driver's side. Rapid blinks will tell you which side needs attention when in the turn signal mode. The hazard flashers are set up to flash a constant rate, regardless of which side may have a burned out bulb. HTH

You know you have two speed directionals? The first contact is temporary, fast. The second one is normal. If your bulbs are working, don't waste your money replacing the bulbs. It's normal.
When I hit my Right Turn signal it flutters at first. I think this is because its a "push" (more akward) effort on the wand instead of a "pull". This effectively causes the wand to be at the Temporary (fast) setting unless I push it all the way up. Maybe you are doing the same thing?.. Just my 0.2

but the front will blink really fast and the back will not blink at all, if the front is normal then the back is too.
Rapid blinking is usually a signl that one of your lights are out. Sounds like you need to repace your rear turn signal bulbs. I would try replacing bulbs before you bring it into a shop, you should be able to replace all of them before you pay for an hour of labor in a shop.
