I am a member of the FRC.... and omg was it funny... well lucky... I just forgot one night the next i was taking it to work and as i went so did the roof... luckly for me its landed paint side up in the grass

I would love LED lights... but I doubt i would need them since i check it religiously everytime i get in the car now

The microswitch idea sounds pretty good. Just need to find a good place for it. Even on the vert there's a possibility of driving with the top unsecure. Nothing like having a big air brake pop up while your doing 40mph

After becoming the newest member of the FRC, I suggest you connect the warning system to the column. Maybe the column could lock up or something like that if the roof panel locks are not in the locked position. Man, what an idea.
