I have a Mobil One filter in place now. I'll be changing the oil this week and I'm going back to the AC Delco UltraGuard Gold. Just as good at filtering and about $5 less than the Mobil One. I bought a case of six from supporting vendor Fitchner Chevrolet.
I am now running a Baldwin. I noticed an oil pressure drop with both the Mobil-1 and the UPF-44. The UPF did not flow that well in a recent test as compared to other filters, so I am not using them anymore. Several others have also noticed an increase in oil pressure when the UPF was replaced with another better flowing filter.

Many use the AC UPF 44 or something like the Mobil 1 filter. I use the AC PF 46 and on occasion a Fram filter.
Stay away from Fram filters. I read an extensive lab test report on the internet and Fram was at the bottom of the list. If I can find the website again, I will post it.
I heard that the UPF 44 had been discontinued. Any truth to that rumor?
No. the AC-Delco Duragard PF44 filter is the one that was discontinued and replaced by the AC-Delco Duragard PF46. The AC-Delco UltraGard Gold UPF44 which is a higher filtration filter is still available. I recently ordered a case of the UPF44 Filters here (3rd item down) from Ken Fichtner Chevrolet a Forum dealer. Fred Beans Pontiac Buick GMC another Forum vendor also carries them or did.
