This week was the first time I drove in darkness.....the dashlights around the speedo/tach don't seem to illuminate with equal/uniform brightness. It's a subtle difference but appears real. Now I admit the last dash I looked at was a Honda electroluminescent set and I am **** when it comes to the Vette but am I imagining it? '02 coupe with 12,500 miles.....Is it hard to replace dash bulbs?
Interesting observation Bird. I have not noticed this, but now I will certainly make an assessment of mine. I don't drive that much at night (these old eyes don't see as well at night as they used to!) but will make a point of assessing the illumination issue.

The reason the dashlights around the speedo/tach don't seem to illuminate equally is that they use 2 black lights on the one on each side of the instrument cluster so it does get the center portion very well
