You need to take off the front wheels, then you have to take off the lower rear fender liner (held on with a few screws). After taking that off, you have access to the plastic insert inside the cove.

The plastic insert is held in with 2 screws that point towards the rear of the car. The screws are the same size as those that hold the fender liner. Very easy to remove and replace.

Why would you,want to remove those pieces of plastic just wondering.I use to have screens in their but took them out with out taking the wheel off if you turn the steering the right direction you can do the work with out taking the wheel off.But i am a woman and i have smaller hands then a man so i can work in smaller spaces.
