When the Delco garbage began giving me the *signs* it was about to strand me, I got the Optima Red Top.

What *kind* it is I know not.

It's an Optima brand & it's red.

I went with the 34/78 in my '01.

And a little tip - unless you have real skinny hands, start the lower mounting bolt before you hook up the cables. The terminals are kind of close together on the 34/78 and there wasn't much room for my ham hocks once the cables were attached!

The 34/78 looks like it would really be a tight squeeze in the battery tray in my '01 coupe. According to the Optima website the '01 should use the 75/35. It's a few CCA less than the 34/78, but still alot more than the stock Delco. Bought my at Sears last night. $115 + tax. Orignially $129 but they price matched Farm & Fleet. Did I still get hosed?

Either will do just fine. The 75/35 seems to be the one that is more readily available. 34/78 can be tough to find.
