Can someone tell me the 3M number (model number ??) for the 3M heavy-duty automotive tape used to attach the rear enhancement plate..?? I need some of that stuff to attach my trunk mirrors that keep falling off..!!

3M is the good stuff. The indoor/outdoor grade is usually gray in color and has a red backing like Blueyednd said. I think I have bought it at Home Depot or Loews too. Pep-Boys may carry it too. Just make sure it specifies "for indoor/outdoor use". It is more UV resistant and handles temperature extremes much better. HTH
3M molding tape is very stong. I believe that the molding tape is the same as their VHB (Very high bond) double tape line. This is what you want to use. Order it from mcmaster.com - get the clear or grey stuff.
There are thick double sided tapes available but I've only seen the VHB at about 1/16". I wouldnt be suprised if it came thicker, and I bet you can double it up to make it thicker.
