Default Double Sided Tape

You want to use 3M Molding Tape. The stuff sticks like pine tar so long as you have really clean surfaces. Recomend it strongly. LOL

I got mine in the Wal-Mart auto paint section and it has red backing. I'd give you the #, but I threw away the packaging. It works great!

3M is the good stuff. The indoor/outdoor grade is usually gray in color and has a red backing like Blueyednd said. I think I have bought it at Home Depot or Loews too. Pep-Boys may carry it too. Just make sure it specifies "for indoor/outdoor use". It is more UV resistant and handles temperature extremes much better. HTH

For the record, at Raytheon we call it "Supervisor Tape", you know, two faced.

3M molding tape is very stong. I believe that the molding tape is the same as their VHB (Very high bond) double tape line. This is what you want to use. Order it from mcmaster.com - get the clear or grey stuff.

There are thick double sided tapes available but I've only seen the VHB at about 1/16". I wouldnt be suprised if it came thicker, and I bet you can double it up to make it thicker.
