auto to manual conversion?
I'm wondering if there is anyone who has done the auto to manual converstion on a C5. My transmission is having issues and I'm wondering what would be involved in this sort of a swap.

Yes, but here's the dilema. My tranny just broke on me and I have to pay to fix it. I know that I'll be spending at least $1,500 at a minimum. If at all I can tack on the parts for a manual conversion for a little more, I'd like to do it. Who know, there might be someone who might have done this.

I've heard, but don't know for sure, that it's not an easy swap out.
Apparently they are COMPLETELY different wiring looms also that need to be changed out... A lot of work.

SJ, track down Little Trouble (or COBrien) here on the forum; she changed her '02 vert from an A4 to a manual (not sure if she did an MN6 or MN12 trannie). I believe she got a lot of the parts from Gene @ Karshop, and the work was done by a wrench local to her (Chicago area). As I recall, wasn't too bad from a $$ standpoint, and the conversion was described as fairly straightforward and went well. Good luck.
