Shifter ?
Are the stops on the shifter neccesary in a C5? In my F body you needed a shifter with the stops to keep from over shifting. I like the looks of the BPP shifter but it has no stops where the Hurst does. Thanks.

I agree with the above. The stops are there to stop it from going to far not to adjust a tighter shift pattern. Some have done this and had problems.

I have a short throw shifter with stops. I set mine up so that the stops are engagued just enough to just make contact when the trans is fully in gear. The positive feel of the stop adds to the enjoyment of rowing through the gears!!!
