Be had as a copy? I have a OBD interface from autotap, will just the software work? I know it is illegal, but can it be done. I have a bet going. Thanks

its something that is hardcoded onto their box part of the cable.
when i have used a shops unlimited cable with my software, it shows whot he cable is registered to vs my cable that i had that was my vin number.
