My first C5.......

It's funny in the stangs, if I'm in the 4-eye freak (sig pic) everybody waves, but not if I'm in any of the others, well maybe once in a while.
get the intake filter first, blackwing or vortex are both good, you have the exhaust coming. it will be a much needed change in rumble.
oh, bring the freak with you and i will drive it while you paint my car

It may be too late for me to paint your car now. I have been having some problems getting my new DA sander. It's finaly here and I will start sanding tomorrow. Hoping to have the flames (Capri) laid out and masked by Thursday night. Shoot the flames Friday night. Clear the car Saturday. Then get to wet sanding and buffing Sunday. Unfortunately, this should have happened 3 weeks ago. It's getting a little to cool now. I've still got a couple weeks that it should be warm enough, but I don't think I'll be able to get the C5 painted. I definately wont have time to get yours done and probably wont do Gene's 67 fastback until Spring, sometime around April maybe. Although we have been talking about putting in another furnace for the garage and basement. If I do that I will be able to paint through Winter.
I've been thinking about specific colors for your car.......
main color: 50/50 mix of HOK KBC-5 Cobalt Blue and BC-05 Lapis Blue
Main flames: BC-02 Orion Silver with BC-01 Solar Gold tips for a base, covered with UK-11 Apple Red Kandy
Secondary flame set: PBC-44 Snowwhite Pearl, tips dusted with KF-08 Blue to Red Kameleon
Materials probably cost about a $1K. Labor, what's the little brother special rate these days.........
This could get expensive.
If I get heat, we can do yours before mine. Give me a call.
BTW, NO MODS! well, except exhaust. Just a kickass paint job and some chrome Z06 wheels.
last i heard it was a 99% discount on labor. that should run my paint job up to about $1025. sounds like a deal to me.
heck, i may even come see you for christmas.

Beautiful car/color, enjoy!!!
