Frustration! AVIC NI Installation
I should know better! Bought my AVIC N1 last week and I'm desperate to get it up and running. Still waiting for the Soundgate harness to sort out the Bose speakers but I bought a mounting kit this morning and the tech sold me the GM harness which would solve my connection problems. Not even close! Carefully connected all the colored wires to the equivalent on the new harness. Dismantled the console and took out the stock radio but the wires at the back are completely different colors and the installation seems even more mysterious than when I started.
Not feeling brave enough to start chopping wires on spec
Guess I'll put a few hundred bucks the way of a professional installer.
