WOW! that was a blast yesterday! By the way JAX, I have an SLP exhaust. The course was very technical with water in every turn! Thanks alot JIM!(CAJUN) I am still working on the pics and vids, I will post when dowloaded!
I'm working on getting my vids as well, but as of right now the Camera is broken, i still haven't seen the video taken. When's the next one? <assuming i have rubber> count me in!

We pretty much have to pick a date that is does not have a NCCC or SCCA event and when the track is available.
I'll try to check with Gainesville on availability tomorrow. I can't remember how much it was for a weekend day except that it is twice as much as during the week. Gainesville also requires that you hire EMTs for any event.
I think we would also do better if it were a little cooler before using that track.
We might also reconsider St Augustine again but run it backwards (finishing with a straight). For OOH YEAH, that means running it in reverse - as in gear.
I have a feeling the backwards EMTS on OOH YEAHs car had to effect him. I would love to do either track again, but if it's TWICE as much on a weekend, would anybody consider running on like a friday?
OK. As promised, here's the unofficial results from yesterday:
However, event officials (me) are considering a two-minute penalty and $10,000 fine to OOH YEAH for all the profanity said after he took his car (and MY wheels) into the swamp and had to be drug out by a truck. He did make a big splash impression on everyone, but had to mow the grass stuck on his car later.
Some pics:
While OOH YEAH performs tech inspections we parked my daughter's Celica in front of his car (far right) and cranked up her "boom box" stereo to loosen parts on his car.
JOECOOOL runs the timer and tries to register voters at the same time:
Pre-race conference with I-SPEED:
It was a GREAT day out there, with plenty of laps and good times with everyone there.
Way to go! Does the BEST TIME have a 10% discount on Senior Citizen?
Hey Stu. You were missed. Everyone wanted to just see Stuzvette because John and I had talked about it so much.
You missed OOH YEAH washing his car in a pond, too.
If i had know there was water on the course I probably wouldnt have run...
...but it sure would have been worth the trip to see John doing the backstroke around the course...
Both sides of the track there was mud/water standing just inches away from the pavement, I brushed the edge twice, both times kicking up quite a bit of mud... It was still a great learning experience!
<My knees have two bruises on them from where i was bracing myself in the car!>
Thank you for putting on a great event Jim. It's been about 22 years since I've participated in an autocross and this was a great one to get back into it with. I'll be working at getting my braking and overheating problems resolved by the next one. And then we'll see what that old beat up '92 can do with 110k miles on it! It sounds like Gainsville would be a great "next one".

Well, the idea was to stay out of the water. Some did, some didn't.
But you're right - a swamp wash is not a good thing right before a show.

Please keep me posted on future events.
Thanks for coming Ed. You proved (once again) it's the driver not the car. Anybody who loses coolant and has to keep adding brake fluid in between laps and still did the job you did has to be good.
