I heard the screens help to make the air colder as well.

Screens won't help make the air colder. At least I do not see why that is the case, if I am wrong someone please educate me

The way it was told to me is like this...
Have you ever taken the valve core out of a tire? The air forced through the smaller opening causes the air to be cold. Even on a hot tire in the middle of summer. Since I have done tires before and noticed this I took it to be true.
I also would like to know if it's true.
Anyone?

I think you are talking about the ram air effect of the vararm not the screens that go over your fog lights. Am I right

I don't think ram air is cooler. I think the tunnels that come up from the fog lights narrow from the opening up towards the air bridge. This supposedly causes the air to increase its speed I think that is called the Bernelli effect. This is what I think vararam calls the ram air effect.

Do you mean the Bernoulli Effect? A good example of his law describes an airfoil, i.e. the principle of lift on an airplane wing.

yep that is what I mean. But I believe it also describes an increase in speed if an air flow enters a large area and is directed into a smaller area.

The tunnels in the Vr1B or 2b work like a venturi tube to increase the velocity of the airflow travelling form the wide openings at the fog lights into the more restricted tunnels and into the air filter opening at the top. At least that is the design concept. I believe the majority of hp gains is simply due to drawing cold air from outside of the engine bay.

The Vararam B2 mod is great!!! I'm very pleased with the increased acceleration, especially from 60 to 100mph. You can really feel the Vette pulling harder and faster with almost an exponential increase in speed very similar to a turbo...

I've been in the heaviest of downpours in Atlanta during the recent hurricanes and have had no problems....

It's a great mod to go with and really makes the car seem more powerful!

Best,

FDA
