While we were looking for one of the clues we pulled over to the side of the road in front of a closed meat market to converse with another Corvette team. As I was pulling up slowly through a small puddle I heard a loud thumping noise from the R/R wheel. Apparently there was a meat hook laying in the puddle and it hooked itself into and out of the center of the tire. Thankfully I only made one tire revolution before stopping but the damage was done. My new (only 1200 miles on them) Michelin Zero pressure tires allowed me to drive 40 miles back home. The inner fender is bent and the tire is wasted. I talked to Costco where I bought the tires and they said I would get a new one for free with their road hazard warranty. We were having a great time until the Corvette got gaffed. Thanks to all the other Corvette teams for helping me out. I'll post pictures tomorrow.
Seattle,
Sorry to hear about your ruined outing. We have a Costco down here in Vancouver too and I had wondered if they sold or could get the ZPs. Obviously they can, did you have them install them too? Were you happy with their work? Thanks.
