This morning, it was 45 F outside. All I am getting is COLD AIR when I turn on the heater (even pust it up to 90 F). I am not getting any heat at all. Even when my Thermostat reading indicated 185 F. Does my 160 F thermostat have anything to do with this? Now after I got into work and came back out again at approximately 1/2 hour later. The heat is working but NOT HOT. Anybody can help with these 2 questions. thanks in advance.
Sounds like your air mix door in the dash that mixes cold and hot air is stuck in the cold position, so no air is coming from the heater core side.
If you have a Dual Zone AC, the doors use an electric actuator motor, but then you would probably only see problem on one side of the dash since there are 2 doors (one per zone).
If you have the manual AC, then you'll have vacuum actuators to move the door. Check your vacuum lines running between the engine and interior (I believe it may be under the battery area).
I would think your thermostat would not have that much of an impact on the air temp.
