They look Nice! And although thats not a bad price for an LPE item, I think Its more of a price issue at this point mainly becasue you Never see them until the door is open. I am suppose to ship them back tomorrow. Whadaya think? If you wouldnt keep them at what Price would you? Just curious.

Damn, sweet-lookin' piece. Does it go with your car's theme? If so, I'd keep them. You not only pay the Corvette tax with those, you're double-dinged with the LPE tax.
They look really good, and if that's etched chrome, I'd say the price isn't that unreasonable.
Design Specialties sold their etched chrome filler cap covers for the engine compartment for $75 ea...so yeah, it was $450 to get them all. Outrageous, yes, but once you have them and compare to the $15ea crap sold elsewhere, it makes it all worthwhile.
If you don't show your car, they might not be worth it to you. Understandable. I would keep them and be very happy and proud.
I do think they are a MUCH better deal than the $400 fuel rail covers LPE makes for the Mag.
It looks great....but it boils down to you. If you like them, keep them.
I purchased door sill protectors, felt like you do, but they look great, I
liked them and I kept them!!
Why do you say that? Making custom parts for low volume market is very expensive. Some pay $100. just for stainless letter kits. Is that expensive? Yes, but this isn't a Honda Civic market. This is the problem with cheap imitation parts out on the market. They get sold for cheap because they are..CHEAP. Then a quality product comes out thats similar and people compare the price to the cheaper version. What if that Lingenfelter piece was made out of aluminum? Who knows.
I say keep it if you like it. If you like LPE work, or have LPE mods then keep it. $179 wont break the bank and it might be a nice touch.
Mark, for the quality and the workmanship that the name usually carries I'd say the price isn't too bad. You've got one heck of an LPE beast there, I say keep em and show em off.
