I drove the car last night and parked it for about five hours. I jumped back in to start her up and nothing. Had the car jumped and started fine; turned the lights on, the headlight motor didn't want to go up so I turned the manual ***** to get the head lights up. All seem OK and tried to drive off but she stopped running. I tried to start her up again but no power. Got another jump start and checked the voltage with a meter and it reads 14.4 (lucky someone had a meter in their car at 4:00 am). This time the headlights goes up and I drove off the parking lot but now she wants to stall and the DIC reads "ABS and traction control needs service". Luckily I made it home going 40MPH and with every stop and while driving, my car wants to stall and resets the DIC. I parked her and shut her off. Tried to start her up again and all I hear is a contant clicking noise near the glove box. Any idea what is wrong with my car? I checked all fuses and made sure battery cables were tighten. I checked under the hood this morning and I can hear some clicking noise near the front of the engine on driver side.

I just went thru a nightmare ... similar problem. Turned out I had a short circuiting wire, which caused power to and from the PCMs to fluctuate. Have your alternator checked, make sure you rev it above 1K rpm, cause later models had a cluth put on. Also, check your battery to make sure it didn't leak down the side and fry your computer sitting underneath it. Good luck. I hope you get it fixed. I know it's a pain. Only difference was, my car never died ... came close.
Also try checking the ground wires to the block.....and look for any obvious wire damage like he said especially under the batter tray if there is any sign of leaking on the side of your batt. good luck!!
It could be a corroded or loose ground. They are located on the frame rails by the hood piston support(both sides) looks like a black plastic 1"x1"x1/2" box bolted to the top surface of the frame. A screwdriver will pop it open. unbolt it and open it up, clean it out and add some dielectric greese and reinstall it. A lot of these issues are "ground point" related. Sounds like the alternator is fine. Also check the battery. The stock batteries leak and burn out the wire harness and computer which is located below it. If in doubt remove battery and pour a mixure of baking soda and water in the battery box. If it fisses, you have acid leaking. The optima battery has been a good replacement as they don't leak.
My '03 Coupe had a bad starter (@ 3000 miles) that was somehow grounding (or shorting) out even while driving. I had some wacko things happen like the dash would light up like a Christmas tree while driving, just about every DIC message would appear and the voltage guage was all over the map. You may want to get it towed into the dealership and have them perform a voltage draw down test to determine the problem.
I'll give the new battery a try first to see if it will remedy the problem. I'm hoping it will and may just drive down to the shop to get it looked at anyway.
I broke a bolt off the fuse/relay cover while tightening. Any idea on how to get broken piece out? What a day

if you can cut a slot in the end, you can use a screw driver to work it out. How far down is it broken off?
Optima Red 75 was not in stock but should be in latter this week. I hope the battery will fix the problem. The end of the bolt broke off deep into the screw hole. I may have to find another way to secure the fuse cover.
