I had a buddy bet me $500 my girl wouldn't do 140

I posted it here a few weeks ago. Turns out he started to balk so I let him off the hook.

Oh! And this guy is a mechanic

I am sorry vette-dream but I don't have a video. I will be going back in april. I will video it then. That was just a warm up pass. The car spun the tires hard in the first three gears and I short shifted it at 5.800 rpm's. The promoter of the race threatened to kick me out if I ran that fast again, as I didn't have a roll cage. We are hoping for a 195 mph plus run next time. Every car that shifted to sixth gear bogged and slowed down. Thanks to all the guys at MTI for building me a monster.
PS I call the promoter before the race and asked if he thought we would go over 175 and need to put a roll cage in the car to be leagal. I told him what I had and he sad it would not go over 170 if you dropped it out of a plane. Even though he had to get onto me. He was a super cool guy. He is getting a motor built at MTI also so he wanted to no my compination.

Sorry, I have nothing to compare it too. But I've been 168 several times with a passenger and 176 alone (according to the HUD) on more than one occassion. The faster I went, the more stable the car felt. Awesome!!!

Also had the opportunity to run through a nice section of curves at 100 to 130, felt like I was doin 70.

finally took the car to 179/180 mph, the car started to feel alot more stable above 150mph, before 150 it felt less stable than my WS6, but after 150 darn car just stuck to the road. at the area where i was hittin 180 i ran out of road and had to let off...

Default usable 6th gear...

This might be a stupid question but is it possible to replace just the sixth gear so that it has a better ratio than 0.5:1 ? I think 5th is 1:1...
Maybe sixth would be more usable if it was something like 0.75:1? I'm guessing that you'd lose a little in the gas mileage dept. But I'm no car genius or mechanic so I could be completely off...
