Here's some discussions re: the topic; many different thoughts on a subjective decision. Obviously the best way to decide is to go to show and hear in person if you can. I pondered this for a while and for me (no resonance at highway, deep, throaty sound as opposed to exotic car sound, nothing too loud) the GHL Bullet seemed to fit the bill. Am awaiting their arrival. Many opinions and same exhaust sounds different based on what other mods done (headers, cats, x-pipe, cam, etc.) Tough decision, I know. Good luck...

Find someone with a set of Bassani with their X-pipe and you'll be hooked. I've seen it time and again whenever people get a chance to hear the Bassani that's what they choose. I've got them on '98, & '01 vette, a '04 Mach I, and a '03 Expedition, and am waiting for a set for my '03 F-350. The '98 has a custom 3" set up while all the rest have their standard system.

B&B exhaust is an okay exhaust system. If you are looking for some sound, but you dont want ANY interior droning, go with a Corsa. Yes I am biased, but ride in a car with the B&B quiet system (RTE. 66), and Corsa's quiet system (touring). You can tell the difference. Give me a call at the shop and I will answer any of your questions, 281-870-8787, or you can email me at ChrisS@motorsporttech.com

I have the B&B Route 66 system on my car and like the looks, quality and sound. Its not too loud, but you know it is not stock either. There was a lot of resonance in the car and popping when you let off the gas, but that was pretty much solved with the addition of an X-pipe. I would recommend the system.

I had the PRT system on my last car and I loved them, wish I would have kept those. THey had a great sound and only minor resonance, not too mention a great look. Just my opinion.

Missed you, but saw the vette at Corvette Expo this past weekend

Most exhausts come in mild, medium, and hot.

B&B has the route 66, PRT, and Bullets.

We have the Route 66 on one and it is exactly what we wanted, a nice sound for an average vette wanting a better look and sound.

We have the PRT's on our black vette we use for drag racing and autocrossing. It's got a mean bite to it and it was exactly what we wanted.

Since then the Bullets have come out and would like to have a set of those.

I have the Corsa touring on the Pace car....ok, but does have the "motorboat" sound at idle. Prefer the B&B's.

If sound is what you are after, you will have to hear them for yourself.

I was running the B&B Route 66's and liked them until I added long tube headers and high flow cats. The noise level went up significantly (not a big deal) and what was a hardly noticeable cruising drone or resonance became very annoying (this was a real problem for me). A set of Corsa tourings was my solution. The B&B's are now sitting in the shed.

my recomendation is Borla, but the reality of the situation is that there are dozens of high quality exhaust systems for the C5 right now. The only thing you can do is to listen to the cars in person and decide for yourself.

Route 66 had a fair amount of popping (no headers, no x-pipe) when the rest of the exhaust system was stock. Significantly increased popping once headers and x-pipe were installed. When I replaced the 66's with Corsa's nearly all the popping was eliminated, along with all the reasonance. I loved the looks of the B&B system and would have kept them on if I hadn't got a huge increase in cruising reasonce after adding headers. Good luck

For me, I needed a system that sounded great on command, but wouldn't punish me during my daily commute. My Corsa Indys look and sound great, and there is no resonance. Best bet is for you to go hear different systems in person.

I own the B&B PRT tri-flow exhaust and if I had to do it again, I would get the Route 66 or a Corsa. The sound is great but I feel like there is more droning in the interior than I would like. A few months ago I offered a trade for my PRT for the less agressive Route 66. I got a lot of offers to buy it straight out but no one had a Route 66 to trade.
