This morning I heard a new Bill Heard commercial here in Vegas that claims that they took all the inventory headed for Florida and diverted it here. So, if you Florida members are wondering why there are no cars available....
The Bill Heard sales department at Vista is a JOKE, I TRIED to buy a car there and they screwed it up so bad I had to go to Phoenix instead.
Last time I checked (in 1999-2000), the Bill Heard near me was trying to sell C5s for $7k over MSRP They also have a $800 doc fee. A friend told me he saw a C6 there with a sticker of $8k over MSRP a few weeks ago.
I stopped at Bill Heard in Las Vegas and priced a 2003 anniv coupe in 2003. $10000 over sticker. Not from me!! Kerbeck 3 weeks later (April 2003) was $11000 under sticker. They got my money!
Actually, considering that a lot of people died in this state, thousands are still homeless and billions of dollars of damage was done here, I take this a far more than just a cheap advertising ploy in addition to being a lie. This is a pretty crass way to make a buck.
I'm fairly confident they don't have 1 car more as a result of what happened in Florida. In fact, sales have risen as people replace damaged cars and dealerships here are offering special discounts to anyone with a storm damaged vehicle.
Oh, and you can order C6s here for $1,000 over dealer invoice, too.
I drove up to the Bill Heard here in Sanford, FL. durning lunch to get my AC fixed (wasnt blowing cold air but the compressor was working and it had freon). after about 2hours they came back with the work order for $600 to take apart my dash to find the problem. Just to find the problem! I left as quick as I could and went to Classic Chevy the next day, 20 min and they new what the problem was. $118 dollars out the door. It was a vacum line that had been damaged. I will never go near another Bill Heard again. I think they are criminals! Just my opinion

Well...having never had any experience with Bill Heard...
...Everyone can pretty much rest assured I wont after hearing all of this...
Me neither. But their saying they have all the cars that were destined to Florida is a missrepresentation. They may have diverted some of their own allocation, but certainly not all the cars to come here.
Between politicians, car dealers and the evening news, TV has just about become a total work of fiction - nothing is to be believed.
They are all over the place. There is one in Columbus, GA, Nashville, Huntsville, AL, Atlanta (also Tom Jumper in Atlanta is owned by Bill Heard). There are more of them also but I can't remember where......
