I just bought one of those Alum. Racing jacks at a flea market. It's plenty low enough but the problem with jacking the front up is that the handle does not go down far enough. When you stick the jack in behind the front wheel to lift on the front cross frame. The handle hits on the rocker panel.
So I have to use my old NAPA Jack because the handle on that one goes all the way down. Other wise the Jack works great. Most all I have seen, have the same profile.

Get (or make) some jacking pucks. Use these along with your jack to lift from the frame rails (not the cross-frame).
