I bought a 98 Coupe about 2 weeks ago. I am thinking about rmoving the side molding door guards. How hard is it to do and how bad do you think it will be to clean up on a 6 year old car. It's black so I am not too worried about the paint not matching up.

It can be done with a hair dryer and some fishing line. As far as how easy it will be to come off, that could vary. Some Goo Gone will remove any excess adhesive left. On an older car, it may show a difference in paint, even on black, where the moldings were.
