Build Sheet VS Born On Date

The build sheet reflects the date your car began to be assembled. It takes several days for the car to move thru the assembly line. The Born-On date is the date the car rolls off the assembly line and goes on the dyno for simulated road testing. By the way, the fact that these cars spend so many days on the line negates the ole myth about never buying a Monday or a Friday car because they were thought to have more defects than those built during the middle of the week.

The build sheet only indicates the date the order was accepted and entered into the system for production.
My build sheet is dated 4/27/01...my car was built on 5/8/01.

It takes a few days from the date on the build sheet to when the car is finished - when it is finished is the born on date.
