Default New Z06

Do you really think the spy Z06 pics are the real deal or a ploy to keep us all distracted? I think the spy pics look way to much like a traditional c6 - almost to the point of being disappointed if the pics are accurate - I would hope for a more aggressive and exotic design - the Vipers have a hot look - I hope the Z's get there as well - I am a proud owner of a C6 vin 828 and I hoping to get one of the first 100 or so Z's when they are produced later next year - what do you think?

Of course they are. They don't have time to around with us. They have to work like hell to pull it off in time to sell it.

The current Z06 isn't much different from the C5 so why would you think they would have a special body? The Z06 has been approximately 21% of Corvette production since being introduced.

The economics of making a special body just isn't there.

If low vin numbers float your boat, go for it. Like everyone else, I would love to see pictures of the next generation Z06.

Are the spy pics real. They look like real pictures to me. Are they pictures of the C6 Z06. Beats me.

For me, I would rather spend my time driving the Z06 I have instead of worrying about what the future might be.

Because Chief Corvette Design Engineer Dave Hill specifically stated that the C6 Z06 would look aesthetically different from the regular C6. Much more so than what the current C5 Z06 does from the regular C5. More than likely, the spy shots are of a test mule sans most of the body changes. Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if GM decided not to design a different style ... economic reasons or not.

I hope the C6 Z06 does look different ... even more so than the spy shots suggest. The regular C6 just doesn't do it for me.

I hope they revise it, as opposed to redesign it, to look more aggressive although for me the windshield angle on the C6 is all wrong to start with. As a person who buys as much for looks as for performance, not even a 7.0 500bhp engine would tempt me unless there were bodywork revisions.

I had an 85 C4 and think the 91 restyle worked very well without changing the DNA of the design so the C6 will hopefully follow suit.
