I know it's been asked before, but I never really came to a conclusion from the previous threads.
I'm in the market for a lift, here are my wants, in order:
1) LOW Price
2) Portable/Easy to Disassemble
3) Designed for maint/mods, not for storage, as we have plenty of space.
4) Design that can lift wheels for wheel/suspension work.
I have plenty of ceiling to work with.
So I'm wanting something cheap that acts like a 2-post, with portability like some 4-posts.
I'm looking too. Think maybe a pit lift is what I am after. Can be made portable, lifts body so wheels are free, nothing in the middle for interference, also can be used for the Harley. Bend Pak makes at least one, still looking for others.
Is the GP here on the forum or on Kwik Lifts site? I was thinking of a two post but was talked out of it. Because if you want to remove the rear end the weight then goes to the front and things evidently get tipsy.
I am also looking for a lift (max 10' ceiling) that I can use for repair work to include rear-end removal and engine replacement. Is there any creative way that the kwiklift or a 4-post lift could be used for such larger projects?

Contacted jack71 and jumped on the group purchase for a quicklift. Got great advice from Kwiklift to optimize what's needed for a C5. Should be here in the garage in 2 to 3 weeks. I will post some picks and thoughts once I have it up and functioning.
