I own a 01 and just read in a thread something mentioned about leakage, I know about the oil consumption issues but this is the first time this has come to my attention. Any thoughts or info would be appreciated.

It seems the drivers side differential cover o-ring does not seal very well. Pretty common problem. There is a new re-designed o-ring that suppose to be the cure. The guy at the chevy house that did mine (at 5000 miles) used silicone sealant. No more leaks.
Just noticed mine dripping on the garage floor at 6k miles on my 04....will be making an appointment with dealer tomorrow...I am glad it is a known problem with a TSB...I have read it many times here...

Yep. Just had mine done. The fluid was not hitting the floor yet. Just crud all over the back of the suspension parts. I found it last oil change. They used the new seal. I went to look at it yesterday and will pick it up today.
