Now running a Baldwin B31. I removed the UPF44 based on recent data showing poor cold oil flow. I also have noticed no more tick on startup, something that has plagued me for quite a while.

Same thing here. the fellow that did the oil study told me his choice is the Baldwin, for ruggged construction and good balance between flow and filtering. The UPF filter looks way too restrictive.
Hastings/Baldwin/Amsoil - same difference, but I use the Hastings!
That's what I thought also until I started hanging out at Bobistheoilguy.
There are differences. It's my understanding that the Hastings is built to a price for retail trade and the Baldwin is built for the industrial market with different internals. The Amsoil is built to Amsoil specs.
