I too have a story to tell about a "Lock Column". I had my 01 Z06 in my garage, went to take off and WHAMMO! Locked Column. I had no idea what to do. No way a wrecker was gonna get my car put of my garage with a locked column. I found a thread on this forum telling how to get out of this situation. HARD right turn, turn the key and it came loose. Went to the dealer and found out that there was indeed a recall. They promptly reflashed and sent me on my way. The next day ... a repeat. LOCKED again. This time I knew how to get out of trouble, and went back to the dealer. They replaced the locking solenoid in the column and have had no problem since. They even waranteed the parts and labor. 6 months out of warantee!
