Plasti-Kote makes a Plastic Primer. You might want to start with that then paint the final coats. Should improve your finish quality and durability, especially on the pieces that get hot.

Great stuff!! I used Krylon paint for plastics. Great products and have always had great results from Krylon paint. Post those pics when your done. DIY'ers Rock!!

The washer tank is very easy to remove but the coolant reservoir is a little more difficult due to the extra hoses and the fact that coolant can go everywhere.
