I need a support group...
I know somebody out there understands...
My wife had to be at a meeting tonight and was running way late...both of our other cars are just about empty and running on fumes...I have to be here working on stuff tonight...the Corvette had almost a full tank.
Soooo...I let her take it. She's a good careful driver, but it's the first time I haven't been in there when she's driven it and that's only happened twice.
So, here I sit waiting for their safe arrival back home in a few hours.
I feel your pain,I do not have kids, but I am starting to understand what my mom went through when i was a kid, living at home-try beer, lots of it everything will be alright, stay calm-don't forget to breath
I hate to admit this but i bought the vette for my wife.I drive a 95 impala ss and it hurts to let her drive that more for some reason.Shes careful to but the 22's scratch easy.Im sure ill be getting vette-mod fever soon so ill be caring less and less that shes driving the impy.

Actually, yes she does know my screen name... But I'm pretty sure she doesn't read the forum except for when I share some of the funnier posts from time to time...
Even if she saw it, and I may just show it to her, all she'd do is throw a pillow at me...she's a great wife...
Last week my wife wanted to take the Vette to work. The people who park around her have already dinged up her Q45 pretty bad so I asked her to be careful about where she parked the Vette.
I was sitting on pins and needles all day. When she got home everything was ok and she had decided she does not like to drive it. She does not like the lope of the cam. She says it shakes too much at stop lights. HURRAY!!!!!
My wife won't drive the vette because she knows the rule is that you have to park it out in the south 40 of the parking lot. There's no way she's walking 100 yards to the mall entrance.
My wife drives my vette to work twice a week, 6 miles roundtrip.
She parks on the back fourty and takes 2 spaces .
Doesn't bother me a bit when she takes the vette. She loves it and this way it will be easer to get a C6 in a couple of years.
Like you, my wife had only driven my(our) baby only twice and I was beside her both times. She called me one day when I was in the heart of the rush-hour soup and it was raining. She informed me that her car was making funny noises and she turned around to come home, and wanted to know if I was close enough to come home and let her take the truck('96 tacoma). I got that sinking feeling in my stomach, and she doesn't like driving it anyway, especially in city traffic, but she had no choice.
She made it with no problems. Poor girl didn't go over 15 mph, and noticed nobody passed her!lol Then she refused to take lunch because she didn't want to chance it. Her boss(female) jumped all over her for not taking it out and show-boating with it! Then she caught hell because I've got the Vette and she drives the '94 Geo Metro! lol
